Who we are:
Ranch Network seeks to connect livestock producers, managers, employees, vendors, and service providers to create an open community with the goal of increasing profitability and efficiency. We aim to be the one-stop-shop for those in the industry looking to buy, sell, hire, advertise, and discuss current issues by providing a simple and efficient platform while lowering transaction costs.
Ranch Network strives to offer a website that is as easy to use as possible. We understand that many of you simply do not have the time to devote hours in front of the computer and inside the office. One of our main reasons for starting the website is to provide you with a way of lowering the cost of doing business. We understand that lowering expenses is essential in these times of tight margins and increasing input prices.
We encourage you to contact us with any questions, concerns, or suggestions that can make Ranch Network better suited to your needs. There is a “contact us” button at the bottom of every page for that very reason. Thank you for your business!
Ranch Network is FREE! Our goal is to offer significant savings and greater efficiency to producers in everything from selling livestock to finding employment or employees. Please compare Ranch Network to other established marketing outlets and other websites and we feel you’ll agree that Ranch Network is the place for you to improve your business’ bottom line.
Please feel free to contact us should you or your business wish to advertise on Ranch Network.
Ed Lipkins and Jesse Womack are the co-founders of Ranch Network. Ed and Jesse became friends at college. On a deer hunt in late 2011, they conceived the general idea of Ranch Network from what they identified as inefficiencies and biases in the current system. This website is a result of many hours of research and conversation as well as many helpful insights of friends and partners.
Born in San Antonio, Texas, Jesse Womack is a fifth generation rancher. Jesse currently helps to manage his family ranch in Victoria County, Texas with his brother William. He graduated from Texas Christian University’s Ranch Management program in 2002, which specializes in natural resource management and teaches a business-oriented approach to the management of agricultural operations.
Born and raised in New York City, Ed Lipkins most recently produced television and Internet content at an advertising agency. He holds an MFA in Electronic Arts and attended culinary school in New York. His interests in food and technology informed his desire to build Ranch Network with Jesse. Through Ranch Network, Ed hopes to help small and medium-size producers by improving efficiency in local markets.
